Who We Are
Barister Techhub is a community-rooted technology hub based in Talek, Maasai Mara. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide by equipping youth, women, NGOs, and conservation organizations with practical digital skills and AI-powered solutions. We focus on empowering individuals and organizations to leverage technology for social, economic, and environmental impact.
Our approach combines practical ICT training, AI adoption, digital storytelling, and innovation-focused programs tailored to local community needs. We believe that technology should be inclusive, accessible, and a catalyst for positive change in education, livelihoods, and conservation.
Since our inception, we have designed programs that strengthen local capacity, enhance productivity, and promote community engagement. By blending modern technology with local knowledge, we enable Maasai Mara communities to thrive in the digital era while supporting sustainable development and wildlife conservation.

Provides overall leadership and strategic direction. Oversees governance, partnerships, funding, and ensures the hub’s vision and impact goals are achieved.

Program Officer
Designs and manages tech programs, trainings, and innovation initiatives. Tracks progress and ensures programs meet community and industry needs.
Duncan Otieno
Digital Transformation Consultant
Leads digital strategy and advises on technology adoption, system digitization, and automation to improve efficiency and innovation.
Esther Naikoi
Community Outreach
Builds relationships with community and partners, mobilizes participants, and ensures inclusivity in all programs.
Gabriel Lankas
IT Support Technician
Provides technical support, maintains IT infrastructure, and assists staff and trainees with technical issues.
